Terms and conditions

A fully qualified instructor will give you safe & correct tuition tailored to your specific needs to prepare you for the driving test and beyond. An honest assessment will be given of your readiness for the test.

One-to-one tuition will be given, with no other pupils in the car.

Your instructor will not use improper language or answer telephone calls during lessons.

Punctuality will be maintained. If a delay is caused by traffic, mechanical failure or weather conditions, you will be informed prior to the start of your lesson, where possible. If it is necessary to reschedule a lesson for any other reason, you will be informed as soon as is practicable.

The tuition vehicle provided will be a dual controlled car in good mechanical order, properly insured, taxed, certified and presentable.

Your privacy will be respected. Any personal information you disclose during a lesson will not be discussed with a third party, unless legally necessary.

Your progress will not be discussed with others - except within the normal workings of the driving school - unless legally necessary, or with your consent.

Any financial information taken in order for payments to be made by credit/debit card or cheque will not be stored.

Other data will be stored no longer than two years after a customer's final lesson, unless permission is given to do so.

All clients must be in possession of a current provisional, full or other driving licence entitling them to drive the training vehicle.

For ordinary hourly tuition, clients are required to pay one hour in advance. For block/intensive bookings, full payment must be received prior to the commencement of the course. Refunds for block booking payments are available up to six months after the date of payment. If a customer ceases lessons before a block booking is completed, the lessons which have been taken will be charged at the normal lesson rate and this will be reflected in the refund payment.

Gift vouchers expire one year from the purchase date. Refunds for gift vouchers are available up to the date of expiry printed on the voucher. Gift vouchers will normally be delivered within seven days from the purchase date.

If a client wishes to cancel a booking, the following notice must be given or they will be charged: for single lessons of up to two hours - 24 hours' notice; for day courses and semi-intensive courses - five working days' notice.

If training is cancelled by the instructor, appointments will be rescheduled to mutually convenient times or, at the request of the client, a full refund of fees will be made for the training time owed.

Usually lessons will start and finish at the same location. If a client wishes to finish at a different location, the instructor may need extra travelling time to get to the next appointment, in which case the lesson may have to finish early.

Clients must attend lessons fit to drive. Their systems must be free from alcohol, recreational drugs and medication that affects the ability to drive. Any suspicion otherwise may result in cancellation of the lesson and loss of fee.

If a client has a physical or other disability or impediment affecting their ability to drive, this information must be disclosed to the instructor.

In the interests of public safety and the safety of examiners, we reserve the right to withhold the use of a training vehicle for the driving test if we consider the client's standard of driving to be unsafe and therefore not up to test standard.

Your instructor is a self-employed franchisee of Wycombe Driving School and solely responsible for any agreements made between him/her and yourself.

Any personal data disclosed by clients will not be stored on our database unnecessarily after they have ceased business with us. It will only be used within the normal workings of the driving school and we will not share it with third parties without consent unless legally required to do so. See our full privacy policy
